Teams
Routing has to decide who gets what, and reporting has to survive being shared.
Fit
Who this model is for.
- Two to roughly ten practitioners sharing a brand, an area set, or an office.
- Teams where enquiries currently land in a shared inbox or group chat — the classic ownership gap.
- A team leader who wants pipeline structure to survive individual absence, holidays and churn.
Structure
How the pipeline is built for this model.
The interesting problem shifts from capacity to allocation. Routing rules become explicit: by area, by pipeline type, by rotation, or by capacity — the rule matters less than its existence and its visibility. Every enquiry gets one named owner at the moment it arrives; the group chat can see it, but one person wears it. Qualification standards are shared so an enquiry means the same thing regardless of who receives it.
Operations
Ownership, routing and reporting.
- Who owns follow-up
- The named owner per enquiry, with a fallback: an enquiry not actioned inside the window escalates visibly to the team lead rather than silently expiring. Escalation is not punishment — it is the mechanism that keeps the window honest when a member has a full day.
- What reporting looks like
- Two layers. Each member sees their own boundary ratios; the team lead sees the comparison. This is where recording discipline earns its keep: with outcomes recorded, the difference between a member with weak leads and a member with slow follow-up is visible in the data instead of being argued in the meeting.
The failure mode
What this model has to defend against.
Diffusion of responsibility. Everyone sees the enquiry, everyone assumes someone else has it, and the routed-to-contacted boundary leaks while every individual is behaving reasonably. The named-owner rule exists solely to make this failure impossible by construction.
Requirements
What GatorScale needs from you.
The system is a collaboration. These are the non-negotiables for this model — stated up front because discovering them mid-campaign helps nobody.
-
01
Required
Agreement on the routing rule before launch — and the authority to enforce it.
-
02
Required
A team lead who reviews the boundary ratios monthly.
-
03
Required
Shared qualification definitions, so 'qualified' means one thing across the team.
Next step
Start with an assessment, not a sales call.
Answer six questions about your area and follow-up capacity. You get a readiness result, a recommended first test and the risk most likely to cost you mandates — before anyone contacts you.
