Legal
Privacy, in plain language.
What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you hold under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
GatorScale Media ("we") builds managed seller-pipeline systems for South African property practitioners. For personal information submitted through this website, GatorScale Media is the responsible party in POPIA terms. Privacy requests go to leads@gatorscalemedia.com.
What we collect, and why
| Information | Collected when | Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, phone, optional email, area, focus, message | You submit an enquiry or assessment form | Responding to your enquiry and routing it to the lead team | Consent (the checkbox on every form) |
| Assessment answers (readiness, capacity, pipeline type) | You complete the Opportunity Assessment and submit it | Preparing a useful, relevant response | Consent |
| Campaign attribution (UTM parameters, landing page, referrer) | You arrive via a campaign link | Understanding which campaigns produce enquiries | Legitimate interest, session-scoped |
| Technical data (IP address, user agent) | You submit a form or trigger an event | Spam protection, rate limiting, delivery diagnostics | Legitimate interest |
| Analytics events | Only after you accept analytics in the consent banner | Understanding how visitors move through the site | Consent, revocable at any time |
We do not buy, scrape or cold-source homeowner data, and we do not resell enquiries. Enquiry data exists to answer the enquiry.
Who receives it
Form submissions are delivered to the GatorScale Media lead team through: email notifications (via Resend, our email delivery provider) to john@gatorscalemedia.com and a confirmation copy to you if you provided an email address; configured webhooks (a CRM, Google Sheet or automation platform such as Zapier or Make, where enabled); and durable lead storage where configured. Analytics data, only after consent, is processed by Google Analytics; where configured, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API receive consent-gated event data. Our hosting provider is Render. The data-processing page lists these recipients in detail.
Cookies and consent
Analytics and advertising storage default to denied. The Google tag is not even fetched until you choose “Allow analytics” in the banner. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed at any time via “Privacy preferences” in the footer. The cookies page lists exactly what is set.
Retention
Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any engagement that follows, after which they are deleted on request or during periodic review. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' configured retention. You may request deletion at any time (see rights below).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with security headers enabled. Form submissions are rate-limited and spam-filtered. Access to lead notifications is limited to the GatorScale Media lead team. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected data subjects and the Information Regulator of any breach as POPIA requires.
Your rights under POPIA
You may: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion; object to processing; and withdraw consent (which does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal). Exercise any of these by emailing leads@gatorscalemedia.com — we respond to verified requests within a reasonable time and without charge for straightforward requests.
If you believe we have processed your information unlawfully, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
Children
This site is directed at property professionals and property owners. We do not knowingly process children's personal information.
Changes
Material changes to this policy are reflected on this page with an updated date. The current version always lives at https://gatorscalemedia.com/privacy/.

Start with an assessment, not a sales call.
Answer six questions about your area and follow-up capacity. You get a readiness result, a recommended first test and the risk most likely to cost you mandates — before anyone contacts you.
